1. Information We Collect

• Shopify store & OAuth: When you install the app, we receive your shop domain and session data (access tokens, granted scopes) required to call the Shopify Admin API on your behalf. Session records may include staff profile fields supplied by Shopify (for example name or email).
• Billing: We store your shop’s plan tier, billing status, and subscription identifiers to sync with Shopify Billing and gate features.
• Products and metafields: With the write_products scope, we may read or update product information and metafields you use for UGC videos (for example video attachments configured in the app or theme).
• Storefront theme extension: Videos and links shown to buyers come from your theme section settings, files, or product metafields you configure. We do not use that storefront content to build a separate database of end-customer identities.
• End-customer personal data: We do not collect or store personal information about your store’s customers for our own purposes; our mandatory Shopify compliance webhooks acknowledge that we have no customer PII to export or erase when Shopify requests it.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide the UGC-Videos admin experience, theme extension, and related Shopify API operations.
• Verify active subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
• Operate hosting and security (logging, abuse prevention) and respond to support requests.
• Honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

3. Data Storage & Retention

Data is stored in the database and infrastructure configured for this app (for example PostgreSQL). We retain session, shop, and billing records only as needed to run the service. When Shopify sends a shop/redact webhook after uninstall, we delete associated app data such as OAuth sessions and shop billing records to the extent we hold them.

4. Sharing Data

We do not sell your data. We may use trusted subprocessors (for example hosting and email) that process data only to operate the app. Shopify processes data as the platform provider under Shopify’s terms and policies.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you as a merchant or staff user. Contact us at support@ugc-videos.erg.st, or use the support channel listed on the Shopify App Store listing. Uninstalling the app triggers Shopify’s shop data erasure flow for merchant records we associate with your shop.
